We are so grateful to TD Friends of the Environment (TDFEF) for supporting A Home for Our Hardworking Pollinators project at our Barrie Common Roof location! Click to Learn More
Thanks to the financial support of TDFEF, Monarch Landscaping has created an accessible walkway, and added mulch to our space. We've been able to order plants and have had some generously donated by Pollinate Barrrie and Return of the Native, now we are ready to plant our native pollinator garden and Monarch Waystation at the entrance of our building.
Let's Plant a Home for Our Hardworking Pollinators!
🌸🐝 This in-person event will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 4 pm - 6:30 pm at the Barrie Common Roof (165 Ferris Lane in Barrie).
Bring your family and friends as we roll up our sleeves to plant native plants to create a welcoming space for our hardworking pollinators. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, everyone is welcome to participate in this hands-on experience. We will be planting over 20 different species of pollinator plants! 🌼🦋
A full catered dinner and refreshments will be provided.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, as this is a natural space and insects are present. There will be tools available to borrow but bringing your own is welcome.
Volunteer Hours are available for Secondary Students.
We had such an incredible time at the Barrie Common Roof lunch and learn session with Ashley Hammell from Pollinate Barrie!
Watch for future events as well as the dates for supporting a native garden transformation coming this fall!
