September 29, 2025 - Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) and The Common Roof (TCR) have officially opened the new Trillium Room at the Barrie Common Roof. This new space was made possible through an $85,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, September 19, 2025 with special guests including the Honourable Doug Downey, MPP for Barrie – Springwater – Oro-Medonte, James Thomson, President and CEO of TCR, Jim Harris, CEO of New Path Youth and Family Services and Karen Hirstwood, CEO of Catulpa Community Support Services.
The Trillium Room is a fully accessible community meeting space. The room enhances CTN’s ability to work collaboratively with service partners and deliver services to kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs in a more inclusive and flexible environment.
The Trillium Room is now available to staff, volunteers, service providers, and community members. It is equipped for both in-person and virtual meetings. Anyone interested in using the space for meetings or events can visit www.thecommonroof.ca/meeting-room-rentals for more information.
